Just starting using my new bx-2200. I noticed when I washed it down that steam was coming up from the rear end. The axle is hot to the touch. Is this normal ?
Last week I left the parking brake on for about 15 min while in 4 wheel drive and didn't notice it. It was hot after that also.
Had to add fluid that night.

I have the 60 mmm, fel and 5'rake.

The hydraulic fluid normaly runs about 100 degrees over ambient temperature, so yes it will get hot. Nothing to worry about.

Just a thought.....you might want to be careful washing your tractor while it's hot. Cold water on a hot tractor is not a good idea.
