I hope your right. I'm going to easy into it until I get comfortable with it. I've got a list a mile long in my head already I want to do with it. I'm going from a 2wd tractor which was my grandfathers to a new 4wd FEL with double the HP. I hope to have it a long, long time! I'm thinking I can remove the old dam of the 20X20 spring pond and let it drain out and clean it up during the summer. The dam is partially busted as it is and when it gets too high it sips out. The water that is in it is crystal clear but feet full of muck. If I can get it cleaned out it would make a great spot swimming hole for the kids. Water drains into it from a spring higher up and hits a big cliff rock before it trickles in. BEAUTIFUL

I do not recommend LS Tractors. I have a LS 5020C I purchased dec7, 2011. The pto did not work from the very start and still does not. Its in the shop as I write this post. LS Tractors USA does not stand behind the warranty very well and my dealer Coker Enterprises Tyler, Texas is even worse. I compare them to USED CAR SALESMEN

Sorry to hear about your troubles.. Sometimes brand new tractors have stupid small stuff wrong that just gets over looked.. Mine had a broken hydraulic steering line that got pinch between the loader bracket and tractor frame right from the factory.. put the tractor out of commision for a few days but the dealer fixed it for me..120 hour in now and i am still happy with it..seems to get stronger as the motor breaks in too..

I've had good luck and great service on my tractor. Sounds like you are a victim of a bad dealer and you will find those with any brand, Deere and Kubota included. One of the most important things you can do when buying a tractor is investigating the dealer. Are they friendly and easy to work with in the buying process? Are they willing to give you references, not just on sales but service customers as well? What do those references say? If you get any red flags then it is time to look for another dealer. Same brand as you prefered if possible but sometimes you will have to go with a completely different brand just to get a tractor from a dealer you can trust.

I hope things turn around for you. Good luck.

I'm fine with my dealer, not with the small, weak, LL4100 loader. But I've been beating that dead horse for almost two years.

I've talked up LS quite a few times so I'm sorry to hear this too. Most of what I've heard so far as about LS warranty support has been pretty positive except for some long wait time for parts. But the reviews of LS dealers has varied through the entire range from excellent to a-holes. Definitely sounds like you may have found one of the later category. Any dealer should be able to handle the warranty work, so you might try a different one if not too far away -- though I'm sure LS Tractor USA would probably want the dealer who sold it to you to handle any warranty issues. Hope this works out OK in the end.

I was a little disappointed to learn that all parts are freighted from the other coast, and that freight is added to the price. Why not two or three parts depots, if it's not an East Coast tractor company, but a national concern?

You should ask your dealer if he would let you trade in your 4100 loader on a 4101 loader.

They listen to me gripe, but haven't offered. I have suggested the idea of a cylinder swap, the rest of the loader being identical (but not very seriously). Of course, if they did that, they'd be stuck with the smaller cylinders and what good would these do them? Stick them on the 4101 and pass it off to another customer? I don't think so. Like I said, these are okay people, and I doubt they would consider such a thing.

The company should offer a recall, but they probably don't like such an idea.
