Thanks Bob and Gary.
I will sign in with the same profile at home and save it.
As to tractor choices, I will keep researching and reading the opinions and trials of the good folks here and realize I may have to narrow my field of choices when the time comes.

well put Bob.
there is a differance in a tractor DEALOR, and a car lot / donut shop / bail bond, with a tractor or two at the front door.

The closest tractor dealer is a NH who is also a Ford Auto dealership. Has been around for many years but is on the small side (gravel lot). I have not heard anything bad about them as far as service work and that they will deal $ wise.

Sounds like my kind of place, this NH, Ford dealership.
We are on the small side too, with a gravel lot and grass to mow, and a few fire ants to fight.

Thanks Virgil,
I've been seeing it this way too. Now I will have to familiarize myself with NH. Most tractor dealers in a 50 mile radius of here are small. There isn't much farming going on as there was years ago and the small/hobby farm movement has not come this way as it has in others.

If this is the guy that can take care of you today, tomorrow and a few years from now, then that's the one you need to spend your hard earned money with.
Like I said before, there is a differance between a dealer and a cigar shop / pawn shop with a tractor out front.

I think that NH is a good machine... I also beleve that the new Branson and Kioti machines that I sell are better..
The truth is, if you take care of them, they all will last a long time... That is where the dealership comes in the picture for parts and support.

There is plenty to consider, I am glad I got into the process this far in advance. I continue to learn from the TBN folks and am less anxious to make a purchase as I want it to be the right choice. As time goes by maybe one of the local dealers will add Branson and I will be able look them over.

Not sure where you are in West Virginia, but I know of a couple of good Branson dealers in Virginia. Too far? Dealers do make all of the difference - service after the sale is more important than saving a few dollars up front.

Thanks for the reply, Virginia would be too far for service as you mention. I check the Branson website regularly and they never have their dealer locator working.
