Yeah Brian I guess you can't really underestimate the drag on those heavy offset disks. I still can't get over those Kello-Bilt disks linked to earlier. I browsed their website and looked at some of their construction disks. A 13-footer that weighs 17,400lbs.!!!! They list it as 725lbs/blade!!!!!
That's completely insane! Especially considering most of the people here who have tandem lift disks are pulling something like maybe 50lbs/blade. You'd need a D10 to pull that sucker! I sure would like to see it in action though.
Of course, the 8-footer construction disk only weighs 8,000lbs and has only 523lbs./blade.
