Really long culvert ideas?

/ Really long culvert ideas? #21
Go to the local County Road Maintenance or Township Road Maintenance yard, whichever applies. They will probably sell you pipe at their cost. Use plastic dual wall pipe. It doesn't require much cover to carry loads. I have some on public roads with less than a foot of cover that are crossed by 80K lb semi loads of grain.

Go to the local Farm Service Agency or Conservation Service Office. An engineer there can look at a satellite pic of your property with topographical information and tell you how much drainage you have and how much capacity you need in your culvert.

12" dual wall pipe in 20ft sections will cost you around $5 per ft. 18" will be around $7 per ft. 24" will be around $12 per ft.

Use a transit when laying it to ensure drainage. Or hire it done.
