Rear arm do not work with power beyond when backhoe is attached.

I probably have the same power beyond kit as you on my JD4105. The 3-point does not raise when the PB hoses are connected. I questioned my dealer on this and confirmed it is by design. Mine is mostly used for my log splitter and I must switch the hoses if I wish to raise the splitter. PITA!

You have 3 hoses coming off the tractor, where do they go to on the backhole?

There is a short hose which creates a loop and is connected to two ports on my tractor's Power Beyond kit. This short hose is connected when no hydraulic attachments are being used and it enables my 3 point hitch to operate.

To use my log splitter (I do not have a backhoe), I disconnect the short hose and connect the supply line to the quick coupler where the short hose was connected. I attach the log splitter return hose to a third port on my PB kit. With the splitter connected, I lose my 3-point hitch function.

That hose with the 90 deg bend on your rear remotes, where does that go?

What you probably have is a supply pressure line, and a PB line to the 3pt should the BH have a PB port, and a return line to tank.

When you remove the BH, you couple the two hoses together which supplies flow to the 3pt.

That means that one of the QD's is the pump supply and one of the QD's is a pressure line to the 3pt, and the QD on the right is for tank/return.

It looks like you have PB and the log splitter doesn't,if it did you would use all 3 line and the 3 pt would work.

The 90 degree elbow connection (shown above) is fixed (not a QD). It stays connected and it is on the short hose which I disconnect (on the other end) when using the Log Splitter. The short hose dangles there when using the Splitter. Presumably, it goes to the 3-point hitch and when the short hose is unhooked there is no supply to the hitch.

J_J -- You helped me with this earlier and warned me about attaching it differently. The risk related to back pressure and possible damage to my log splitter valve.

You are correct that the 90 degree fitting is fixed and stays connected to the 3pt input.

Any tank line connects to the right QD?

To the orig poster,

I had the same issue with my tractor-Backhoe. I installed the selector switch that J_J referred to and now i just raise my 3pt to match the BH and hook it up, then i can pull the selector upand have the BH function, pushit down and the 3pt works. I can pick it up with the 3pt and move the tractor, set it down and use it, the pick it up to move, just by switching the lever of the selector valve. When BH is not in use, i plug the BH hose together in case someone accidently switches the selector to BH mode. ( the 3pt wont work then, but fluid can getback to tank)
