I'm in the market for a rear blade for my BX22. I'm not sure what would be the best size for my unit. I'm thinking of going with the 6 footer. What's the opinion of those of you who have rear blades? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey, I have a new BX1800 and purchased a new 4 foot box blade for it. I am glade I did not get to much bigger because it will spin the tires trying to dig in. Engine does not strain but if you will be playing in the dirt I think 4 foot is it. Maybe someone else has used a larger box blade on this chasis.

Hello I also own a bx22 I know have 35 hrs on her. The manual recommends a 5 foot rear blade. David

I have a 5 footer for my BX2200. Not sure I would go any bigger than that.

I can spin my wheels in four wheel drive with a 5 foot rear blade full of snow. Any bigger would be silly. (I know chains would improve things, but I think that a heavier tractor is really the answer).

I've got a Woods RB60 for my BX. The BX handles it ok but the limiting factor is ground clearance. The BX just can't get it high enough off the ground. A better choice would be the Woods RBC60, still a 5 footer, but with a shorter moldboard. It's part of the Woods new line of implements for sub-compact tractors.

This is what I have, and it gives decent clearance. I want to say a foot or better but honestly I didn't measure so I could be off by quite a bit.

I've got the Wood's RBC60 also. If I remember correctly mine gets about 16" off the ground depending on how I have the top link adjusted. If you get one be sure to get the skid shoes also. They had to order those for my blade as the blades sitting on the lot came without.

Dave.
