Add gauge wheels and float by removing the tilt pin. Works like a charm! “Ford850’s” top link adjustment instructions are RIGHT ON too!

We have a 800 LF drive that is composed of 4-6" of crushed gravel atop non-woven geotextile. The crushed gravel freezes hard w/ frost and the rear blade rides on the gravel. (be sure to crown the crushed gravel)
I placed 3/4" crushed stone on a parking pad (no garage yet) - it doesn't freeze and I need to raise the blade ~ 2" or so to prevent dragging crushed stone everywhere.
The reason I placed crushed stone around the parking pad & entry is that the sand in the crushed gravel would be tracked into the house. Only problem is that I didn't place the woven geotextile beneath the crushed stone; so the car & truck wheels just mix the subgrade and stone by rutting during "mud season".
