Rear Camera- thanks 4-shorts

Which one did you end up getting? I have an open station B3200 and I'm contemplating getting a camera for using a rear blower - I haven't seen any that claim to be weatherproof for using out in the open.

Cab Cam makes a weatherproof model for open stations. It has a sealed screen. I went on the aiproducts website, the manufacturer, and then you can enter you zip code and it will show you an online retailer in your area. I paid the retailer, but if you look at the shipping g labels it was shipped to me straight from the manufacturer

I honestly didn't like using the camera for snowblowing. The camera worked great, but I found it hard to navigate with the camera. I actually packed it up and returned it yesterday.

I've used my camera since 2009. It's been great for my needs and its perfect for not only using the blower but warning me if there's someone to close to me or even coming up on me fast. It's perfect for added safety but I rearly use it full time for backing up with the blower because its not a wide angled camera.

That being said mine don't have the heater and I really don't think I'd need a heated camera. If its snowing and in a storm I seldom need to clear the lens. If it was heated wouldn't the snow just melt on it then the lens be full of water preventing you to get a good view?

These cameras might not be a good choice for an open station tractor. I wouldn't need one if my tractor was an one station machine. With a cabbed machine you have blind spots due to the cab so in my case its an essential part of the machine.

I fully understood the safety aspect of the rear camera for blowing in reverse. The heated lens though led to trouble as the snow melted and all you saw was glare from the water spots on the lens.
For me I sat down and looked at the cost of the camera, the blower cost and then the additional cost of hydraulic rotation which I was wanting to add. With all that factored in I was within $600 of a front mount blower. So with that in mind I put my blower up for sale and am hoping to get a decent price for it. Then it will be forward blowing for me.
