I have run into a situation that some of you may want to think about. I just installed my rear 2" reciever hitch on the BX2200 and it works great except for one thing. The hitch goes down with the mower and hits the ground on inclines digging up my yard. ( Hey I made a plow, now lets see single bottom plow hooked into the reciever hitch gotta put some thought into this for the future) Well I plan to be using my rear weight / storage box soon and don't want it hitting the ground either. So why not use a set of check chains on the rear?? This would keep the hitch/storage box off the ground and safe. I see there are two welded hook areas on the back of the BX I guess thats where the backhoe hooks into the frame. I may use these or just use the top link for hookup. No matter what we use it will keep the hitch/ box from catching on something and possibly damaging our tractors. This is not a problem when using the loader because we can adjust the hyd. lift to keep the back up but could cause a problem with the mower. Better to be safe then sorry. Just my 2 cents. Bigguy

I think that if you restrict the 3 point arms your mower will not lower. Those lugs you mentioned are to hold the arms so they do not lower with mower. The setup is not designed to allow 3 point control independent of the MMM.

I spoke with my dealer this morning and he stated that there should be no problem with the check chains on this unit. I did lower my deck and was able to lift my arms at the rear hitch with little to no effort. Dealer stated that check chains are ment to keep rear implements held up so there shoild be no problem. Does your mower lift rod connect to the right side 3pt lift arm ??? If so, the lift arm must be free to travel down to lower the mower. You may be able to restrict it part way down and still be able to use the mower.
