While mounting my MMM yesterday, I noticed a problem that the mower would not retract or move. After checking to make sure that everything was hooked in place, I decided to check the rear lift link that adjust the height for the mower. It was broken on the end which attaches to the lifting arm. The rod is attached with a plain washer with a cotter pin and has plenty of room for movement. The looped end was broken off of the rod. I really do not understand what caused the end to break off, because it is not a fixed point and has movements for this reason I guess. The part number is K2561-44204 for the 60" MMM for BX2200. I have already ordered a replacement from Tractorsmart.com and will have this original one fixed by a welder, as soon as I can find some one. Just in case it breaks again, I will have a spare. Has anybody had the same problem?

I don't have the same setup as you, but one thought that came to mind... I was driving my mowing tractor not long ago and the deck was making funny noises and I found that the front linkage had been knocked loose. I then remembered that I'd hit a fence post (oops /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif) the night before while mowing in the dark. The way my mower deck is mounted just knocked it out of the connectors - if it had been a ridgid pin I would have broken either something on the tractor or the fence post.

CHRISJBELL,
Yep, that is prob what happend to my deck. The deck does hit some stationary objects sometimes, just because the operator is dreaming about some other project. That really makes sense. I did have the rod with the loop welded and put it back on last night and cut with it and not problem. I still will have a spare, since I have not been able to get a purchase order number from my CFO (wife) for a welder. I did explain to her that the welder was an important piece of equipment that it has multiple uses around the yard, but she reminded that I had told her that the tractor was also had multiple uses. Might have to have a board meeting and see if I get out voted. ( Of course she has 51% of the voting power)
