rear lift problems

Yes it could ,to check that the control valve is operating properly or not remove the side plate the one with the transmission dipstick ,start the engine and operate the hydraulic levers and at the same time watch the control lever roller ,it should not loose contact with the control lever at any time if it does it wmeans that the control valve is as said sticking try giving it a quick flick a few times and see if that makes any difference if not you will have to remove the lift cover and the pump.

Good to hear from you again ,i have a 148 in my workshop that i am restoring I will measure the pump depth and the stack pipe length and maybe even post some pictures if i can figure out how to .

Sounds good. Honey-do is a list of chores the wife keeps for us to do. 3-4 months between trips home the list gets pretty long.

Wanted to let you know that trent362 got the tractor pump/lift to work some minor adjustments in the external handles,and seems to be working fine. He is moving on the the front pivots and bearings. Hope he has fun!
