I guess I should have considered what tractor you were talking about. On the 33's it is a 15 amp but it sounds like the bigger tractors are wired a little different. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I tapped off the headlights when adding supplemental lighting to the front and blew fuses (drew too many amps). I ended up tapping off the battery.

As far as switching goes, I have decided on buying this premanufactured box from SHO-ME, Model No. 05.4000 it comes all set up with 4 switchs, all fused at 20 amps. One of the places I found with a good price is West Chatham Warning Devices
I will most likely feed the switch box directly from the battery and mount the switch box up under the canopy.
I spoke with a friend of mine this morning who works for Ossippee Mountain Electronics. They are a fairly large local company that pretty much has the tri-state area market cornered for the installation of lights, radios, sirens etc. etc. on all the fire, police, private cars, trucks, equipment, etc. etc.
Anyway, he has talked me out of using hide away strobes because all of the lights that I would be using to install them in are to small. The strobes will Melt the light lenses. So I am going to simplify things and just install a wig-wag flasher for the additional hazard lights. using up 1 switch, the additional front and rear flood lights will use up switch 2 & 3. Switch 4 will be an extra for ??
The 4 lights for the rear I already have, the front ones are on the way. I will post pictures when I get everything built and installed.

I will have to look in the tractor manual, maybe it will tell me. But does anybody know what the alternater is rated for in the TC35D tractors ?

Mark,
Thank you.
I will have to add the total load of the additional lights and see where I am at in maxing out the 40 amp alternater

</font><font color="blue" class="small">( Mark is that switch back weatherproof ??? )</font>

The switch box I am sure is truly designed for use in a protected enviroment, ie. inside a vehicle. The best I can do to provide a similar enviroment is to mount it up under the canopy. That should shield it from 99.9 % of all weather.
The only concern then will be condensation from temperature changes, which shouldn't be a problem because the tractor will not be going from say, A warm garage to the cold outside or vise versa. When the weather is cold, the switch box and contents will be cold and the same for warm weather. I honestly don't forsee there will be a problem.
