We got 3" of snow last night and I'm going to want to plow it off the drive when I get home tonight. Unfortunately, it's going to be dark by the time I get to it. My headlights will be of little use when I'm using the rear blade going in reverse. Has anyone ever added any "rear lights" to their Boomer? The factory taillights probably won't be any good.

Danny, here's what I added {see attached}

Thanks Mike! I can't tell what's in the bottom left picture. What did you connect the new light's wires to?

That's the push button switch that controls the KC HiLite driving lights that are at the top of the ROPS.

Thanks for the info and links. For once, I wasn't prepared and it won't matter. It's been sunny all day and the temperature got just above freezing. My wife called and said it's all melted off the driveway. But, I need to go to the dealer and see if he has any of those ones you mentioned and try to be ready for next time.

Danny, I just noticed that I did not answer your second question /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif. Sorry. The rectangular lights that face to the rear are connected to the same pigtail the NH work light connects to. It's below and to the right of the seat. Since I couldn't find the right connector, I just cut the pigtail off and used connectors. These lights are attached to the same bolt that holds the amber flashers.

For the lights at the top of the ROPS, I ran a separate circuit directly to the battery and installed an inline fuse. I used the ribbed, black plastic sheathing to cover the wire on its path from the battery. These lights are attached to the ROPS with the double stick tape that came with the lights.

Both sets of lights are KC HiLites that I bought over the Internet. They both came complete with wiring, sheathing, switches and relays.

Mosey, here is my <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.tractorbynet.com/cgi-bin/compact/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=custom&Number=114362&page=&view=&sb=&o=&vc=1>thread</A> on this subject.

Danny, I bought the standard NH halogen rectangle floodlight and bracket from the dealer. I comes with the connector and includes a pushbutton already mounted on it for on/off. I've been very happy with the amount of light it throws.

I did the same thing last week that djradz did. Bought standard NH rectangle light and bracket from dealer. I think is was all less than $40.

Got a pretty decent halogen light with selfcontained switch plus a black bracket pre drilled to go with the flasher bracket.

Bolted on in 5 minutes, wired in 5 minutes to harness on the right of the seat. Even included the bullet connectors and so forth.

May not be the cheapest or brightest I have seen some do on this forum, but it works well and is easy.
