Would any of you out there know about how to get some lines back to a hoe on a Mahindra 3016 tractor? I have a hoe from a previous tractor that I want to use but the dealership says that they have never hooked any up. All of their tractors come in plumbed. I can not believe that problem solving has become extinct! I am not sure, but I would hope that there is someone out there that can help.

If your "dealer" doesn't know how to plumb a set of rear remotes or power beyond, you need a new dealer now. How can they possibly service your tractor if they cannot do such a simple task?

Look here.

Do you have a loader? Did you purchase the 3016 new? If so, look at the loader manual, it shows exactly how to connect. This is very easy, I would definitely look for a different dealer.

Before I worried too much about the hydraulics, which is relatively small potatoes, I'd wonder how I was going to take a bh from 'a previous tractor' and fit it on the 3016. A 3pt hitch version, very easy. A frame mounted version, VERY complicated.

I have been told by 2 different dealers that "kits" do not exist. All they know is what is on the computer in front of them. I actually was told by one that they could not purchase the undercarriage kit for the hoe. I would have to buy each and every little nut and bolt. They were pushing me to buy a new tractor that came with all the stuff.

Not complicated at all. The kit comes with a part that will bolt to the non Mahindra hoe. The undercarriage bracket bolts right up.

There are two issues. Your original post focused on "lines" which I interpreted to mean hydraulics. If your dealer can't figure that out they are numbnuts. On the otherhand, it is certainly possible that they cannot order a subframe for your tractor that matches your older backhoe. If that is the case you might want to investigate converting the BH to a 3pt setup. Less desirable and should not be used aggressively but it would give you BH capability.

I am asking them not for a direct mount subframe to fit my hoe, but the actual frame mounted one that is made for that tractor. Once the subframe is mounted to my tractor, I will then be able to fabricate the mount from my hoe to fit the Mahindra subframe bracket. That is the ez part.

If you have the welding and fabrication skills to do the BH mount then you'll be able to do the subframe easily. I haven't seen a Mahindra subframe but if it is like the Kioti subframe it isn't real complicated. The Woods 4PT is difficult though.

You might be able to get a factory subframe from a related tractor model and modify it too.

My only hold up is the hydro lines. I was asking if anyone here has had the pleasure of doing this. I tried to save some money by not getting the tractor all set up in the first place. I am not sure why there are 3 lines in the kit instead of only just 2 of them to feed the hoe.

Two lines are required to run a BH. I don't understand the purpose of a third line. Doesn't the kit have instructions or labels?

I'd also suggest posting a question in the Mahindra forum. Those guys don't necessarily check the hydraulic subforum

I am fairly sure that most of the manufacturers have gone to the 3 line system on their hoes. The 3rd line is a return to tank line.

I am not familiar with your tractor and the BH; but, here goes some thoughts. Most newer tractors use an open center power beyond system. Power (P), Power Beyond (PB), and Tank Return (T), three hoses. Unless the BH is also PB equipped that is a separate problem. You can use the PB connection on the tractor to the P on the BH; but, anything down stream from the PB (FEL, 3 point, power steering are some possibles) on the tractor will not work when the BH is connected. another thing to check out on the hydraulic systems of each

My BH runs off rear remotes and only has only two hoses. I guess if power beyond circuit is used there is an additional hose.

I still don't understand how a tractor dealer could not sort this out.
