rear remotes

Like I mentioned before, try and get the hose with the correct fitting on the end of it... Remember that you can't have two of the same height, 90* angle fittings next to each other. One has to be higher so you can tighten it.

Use a old garden hose for measure the length of the hose that you need. Mount the spool first.

Valve has been mounted and all connections complete. I still need to fabricate a bracket of some kind to mount the quick connects on. Also need to.purchase QD' s. Are there any preferences in QD styles? Should have this project complete by this weekend. Thanks D

The flat face style QD (a la skid steer) is popular, although more expensive. They tend to have less leakage when disconnecting, I'm told.

Mine are a Parker style, similar to Pioneer. Not so common, as I found out after I had them.

Whatever you get, make sure it's readily available and will be in the future. Check with some local hydraulic shops, see what's common near you.

I finished adding rear remotes to my kubota l2800 today. I am very proud of how this project turned out and quite frankly amazed that I actually was able to do it. I would have never been able to pull it off with out the encouagement to try and help a along the way from the members of TBN. Special thanks to Paul , Piston , Sean, and Teg among others. Their theads and photos were crutial to my sucssess. I'm not going to go into detail about my project , but I would be glad to try to answer anyones
questions if I can. I will say, that I purchased all of my parts locally, and I'm sure I paid a little more because of it.

Many Thanks,

Dwight

VERY clean looking install... I'm jealous compared to my spaghetti mess :ashamed: I really like the location of the valve except for *maybe* the short handles... I cut my loader handle down several inches so I can use the loader control with my palm and closed the grapple with a finger. You could extend the handles on the new spool if it's a problem later on. Great job :thumbsup::thumbsup:

EDIT: I turned the photo that was sideways, hope that's fine.

Nice looking job, no question. As Teg mentioned, I shortened my FEL lever too, not for using the remote valves but to keep from hitting it if I get off or on the right side.

I have to credit my brother for the location of the valve. I solicited his advice knowing his inventiveness if that's a word and his attention to detial. I am happy with the location of the valve and the short levers work for me right now as I'm only using it for my dump cart. I have concidered shorting the loader control in the past; but I kind of like the in your lap feel of the lever. Its always an option. Im really excited about having the remotes and I'm sure I will find many uses in the future. It was something I wanted to do since I got the tractor. Dwight
