Rear Remotes

I only see 3 lines coming out of the control valve. Where are the other 2 lines coming from? I would guess you have a single acting 3 spool control valve which was used for a batwing. The MF tractor has a double acting 2 spool control valve. You might need to buy a new control valve to operate the stump grinder.

I agree, valve looks like it's for three single acting cylinders.

Could the other two couplers be from some way to reroute the three point hydraulics?

We need a trace of where the five rear coupler hoses go. List top to bottom, first the left side then the right side.

This is just a guess and is based on what I'm planning on doing to my tractor. The 2 lines on the right could be from a control valve to control a double acting cylinder. The 3 on the left could be to hook up an external control valve (Press, Ret, and Pwr beyond). But if it is then the Press and PB lines would have to connect when not in use to get pressure to down stream items. Just a guess, would have to see more pics of were each hose runs to get a better idea

I have determined at your suggestions that the remote was designed for power up and gravity down, the grinder has two way cylinders power up power down.
I have decided to remove the new working remote off tractor A and move it to tractor B which has a 40 year old controller that was leaking.
I will keep you posted on the results my darling wife is chasing down some reducers at this moment.
