Hi there,

I was wondering how fast most people snowblow with rear mounted snowblowers. Say 1-2' snow, dry or wet?

Is 1.2 mph going to be too fast with say, 7' blower?

The smaller the snowblower the faster you can go I guess?
Less snow to blow?

I'm buying a tractor with 12x12 transmission and the lowest reverse speed
is 1 mph with 16.9x30 rear tires. My tires will be x34 so I'm assuming
I'll be going 1.2 mph on the slowest gear. I'm not sure if that will
be slow enough to clear 2'+ of snow.

I have a 7' rear blower. This winter we had one bad storm that left 3' drifts in my driveway. The blower was mounted on my MF165 (52hp PTO). Low range reverse worked fine to clear that snow although it took a long time and there were some points where I had to stop and let the blower clear itself. But that was a lot of snow. I've never had any problem with 1' or so.
