John Deere 3020
Hi everyone,

I am wanting to put on rear svc hookups on my John Deere 3320 so I called up the dealer and the guys said that I could do it myself. It would be way cheaper all I would have to do is by the parts. Does anyone know how hard this is or what it all entails?

Thanks!

Several of us here have done it.

Take the left rear tire off, the seat off, and following directions, get down to the dual SCV control center. There is a third control set there to tie into. If you like working with wrenches and are careful with the hydraulic lines, it is doable. If new at wrenching, I'd get someone to help out then.

Below is a picture of the kit, note that you already have the valve-just no way to control it. An average equipped DIY'er should have no trouble installing it.

I did mine on a 4310 which I think is similar, took me about 6-8 hours. not alot of tools involved but it is a little bit of a Pain in the neck. The seat and skirt is the worst part of it.

Here is a link to my install thread.

If you have the BH plates and the power beyond like I do, that's what makes it tougher cause of the limited space to work in.

Anyone will tell you though it is well worth it, even if it's just for a hydraulic top link.

I did this myself on my 3520 and it was way more than I bargined for. I took the tire off the fender and the black piece that covers the handles and controls. It was a pain for sure, but I did it. It would take me much less time to do it again, but the first time with very little instructions took me 8 hours or so. Funny thing is, I have never used them one time since I put them on there. I figure it is better to have them and not need them, then to need them and not have them.

You will have to cut a slit in your black plastic cover to put the extra handle through. Cut carefully.

Like was posted above, if you are above average wrencher, you can do it.
