Im interested in a rear tiller for my TC33. Will it handle a 60" and what kind of price should I expect to pay? Any brands you guys have had alot of luck with I would love to hear about. As always thanks for the great help in the past.

I have a 60 inch tiller on my 1630, 24 hp at the pto, it handles it with no problem, however sometimes you must go real slow, however with the additional HP that you have, it should be no problem at all.

Purchased mine at TSC for $999.00, steel prices have since gone up and so have tiller prices. The last two years tilled about 10 acres, then this spring tilled 40 acres, it has stood up real well without any problems at all.

My DX33 handles a 60" King Kutter II with no problems. I wouldn't be afraid to use a 72" if you have the room or need to get the job done faster.

I have a JD 4115 with 20 PTO HP and I run a JD 655, 55".

At full depth, 8", the tractor doesn't even know the tiller is back there. No problem at all. I don't know about yours but the JD tiller has the tines arrainged in a spiral so that only one tine is entering the ground at time. Some other (most?) tillers I have seen have the tines arrainged so that more than one enters the ground at the same time.

Just food for thought.

Good Luck.

I use a 72" KK behind my 33D and have no problems. It does a great job and the tractor has plenty of power for it.

I run a 60" King Kutter behind my Ford 1700 (24 PTO HP) with no problems or concerns.

I bought mine at Tractor Supply, chosen over some others because it is gear driven vs chain.

I bought a 60" King Kutter II for my TC 33DA a month or so ago.

I've only used it once, to till a 50 foot by 75 foot experimental growing patch for my wife. We have heavy clay soil here, and it handled that soil like a charm.

We were really pleased with its performance.

Lowest price I've seen for it was at Tractor Supply Co. I think it was $1049, or something like that.

I paid more for mine, but that was because I bought mine from the same dealer that I bought my tractor from, and it was part of an entire package that I bought. I figured that even though it was more expensive from my dealer, at least that way, if something went wrong, responsibility would fall into my dealer's lap to help me. (I didn't want a situation where I'd call the dealer for help and he'd say he couldn't help me cuz the tiller came from somebody else, then I'd call that somebody else and they'd say they couldn't help me cuz they didn't sell me the tractor, and so on.)

I ran a 60in reverse rotation tiller behind my TC40D this past spring. I was tilling down to about 6inches, and the tractor was literally crawling and chugging out black smoke. The area I was tilling was fairly big, but I had to let the engine cool down after each pass. The reverse rotation did a wonderful job on the soil, but next time I'd want a bigger tractor.

Just my $0.02....
