Rear Tire Ballast Fluid?

Just plain ole H20 here in SGa... Tractor does very little to nothing during the winter months here ... Really no need for an additive to prevent freezing ... In the rare occasion I do use it during freezing temps .. I park it so the rear tires get sunshine in the daytime ours..

Rimguard, and it was quite useful this winter with the added weight.

I had plain water in the old tractor, but the new one, I currently am running tires empty. If you need ballast 100% of the time, loading tires is great, but if it's not needed, it's a pain to remove, and either weights or an impliment is much easier to remove when you want it lighter

I've owned two tractors in my years out here. Both had/have loaded rear tires. Most everything I do is about needing max traction or weight to offset the grapple and its load. I'm very pleased with RimGuard.

I just run tubes on the tires and straight water in it. As far as taking the ballast out, I have no need to take it out and can see a reason to have it out.

I'm so glad my dealer filled the tires, even though I didn't even asked or thought about it. Even without the loader, which I do a lot of work without the loader, it's great to have the tires filled. Working on hills, I really feel the tractor planted down with the extra ballast and I'm not sure if I could work such steep hills without the ballast.

My dealer filled my rear tires with Rimguard on my little Massey GC1723. They said they automatically fill the rear tires with it on any tractor that has a backhoe.

Do you mean any tractor that has a loader? That’s what my dealer said.

Any tractor with a backhoe is what they said to me.

I live in SD...up here they are telling us that filling with liquids actually decreases traction because the tire can no longer flex.

What does everyone think about that?

That will only happen one of two ways Either they fill them totally full removing all the air, or their liquid freezes. And beet juice is used as a de-icer
