Re: Weight of the rock

Jon, don't forget to check for proper inflation pressure in your tires, too, whether it be air or helium! Seriously, I was surprised at the difference this made in the loader performance on my little B7200. Jim

Re: Weight of the rock

JonE, funny thing, and this just may be a conincidence, but about the time you were trying to move that rock I heard the most amazing report out of China. Seems there was this rock that is deeply imbedded in the earth. All of a sudden it starts moving. The people there said it looked as if the rock was being sucked into the earth. Wonder if it is the same rock and it goes straight through?

As to moving the rock, had one the other day that was way too big for my loader. Wrapped a logging chain around it several times, hooked the chain to the draw bar, and drug it to the rock pit. Be sure to have a seat belt on (with a ROPS) and go slowly!

Re: Weight of the rock

Thanks for the suggestions. I will probably try the chain wrapped around the rock trick. Or I will get my neighbors L2900. Whichever comes first.
I'm sure they won't need that rock anymore over in china. I mean if one of those chinese tractors hits it or trys to lift it, who knows what'll happen?/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
