I am wanting to weld some D-rings onto my tractor to hook chains on to for securing it on the trailer. I found a good place for the front but on the back the only place that seems like it would work is the lift arms on the 3 point. There is a place a few inches in front of where the pins got that they could be welded on and not get in the way. I am not sure if this is a good place to hook the chains or not but I can’t see anywhere else. I was wondering where you guys hook the rear chains when you are transporting your tractor.

I would also like to see some responses on this one, have a TC30 that I will be transporting a few times this year, and have yet to decide the best way to tie it down.

Taking the discusion (future discusion I guess) a step further, what kind of attachment points would be best on the trailer itself? And how many of them?

TIA

I have always hooked the chain on the support for the drawbar. On JD, NH, and Kubota tractors, there is a nice area just above the drawbar where it attaches to the tractor to slip on my chain hook.

On my TC30 I went with my dealer's advice. Two chains/binders on the front axle and one around the rear drawbar pin. Worked well, tractor never moved. He also said not to overtighten the chains, snug with no movement but no mashing the tires.

As far as the trailer, I used the welded on stake pockets to attach the chain. The stake pockets are welded on then another piece of steel banding is welded over them tying them together. I just dropped the hook down through the middle, back up on the outside and hooked it to the stake pocket.

On my 1300 I put a clevis in the holes on either side of the drawbar so I could run separate chains and binders. I plan on doing the same with my 2120, but haven't got the right size clevis yet. It's probably overboard for the 1300, but I want to be able to do both tractors the same way.
