Hey Jim:

Thanks for the reply! If I'm understanding everyone correctly; if I add another rear remote valve I can tilt/raise or lower my BOX BLADE side to side in order to achieve an edge on one side (left or right side of the box blade). Similar to making a run-off or ditch for the side of a driveway. And I do these changes w/ the levers. Correct? Now will one lever/ remote valve only, for example, raise my box blade up on the right side and then take it back to the level or flat position. And then I would need another remote valve to raise the left side of the box blade? Or does one remote valve/lever take care of the whole TILT option? Does that make since?

Thanks,
chris

When I bought my CUT, a Branson, they only offered a single rear remote. That means that when I get around to installing Top-N-Tilt, I will have to either:

a. Install a second rear remote (with control), which can't be collocated with the first because the original design doesn't make provision for one.

b. Plumb the existing single remote back to a selector valve located at the operator's position, then run two lines back to two additional rear remotes.

c. Cut into the existing rear remote's hydraulic line after the control to run it to a selector valve. Run one side of the selector valve to a new rear remote, and splice the other side into the cut original line.

d. Plumb in a completely new set of remotes along with a joystick to operate them, which means the $$$ I paid for the single remote will be wasted unless I come up with an application that requires three remotes.

If none of this makes sense, the point is simple: get at least two rear remotes from the get go.

Jim, I realized that, but thought he didn't quite get it since he didn't mention T&T, but BB and Mower. I doubt he's going to be using hydro mowers, but it's possible.

You would have a hydraulic cylinder on the right adjustable lift arm (viewing from rear of tractor) that would tilt it up and down.
Then to adjust the front/back action, you'd have a hydraulic top link for that. Yes, you could operate those with the rear remote levers that would be installed next to your 3pt hitch lever.
I don't think you'd need more than 2 rear remote hookups, but if you can spend the money, it wouldn't hurt to go with 3. You may find other uses than just top and tilt. With 3 you could easily run a splitter or other implement without having to change out hoses. John
