What does the Very small little bubbles, mean?

Dave

Dave, can you be more specific about where you saw "very small little bubbles" in your hydraulics? Also, is it just a few bubbles, or is all the oil full of bubbles? It could be a problem with air getting drawn into the system or just a normal thing. As Soundguy said, there are lots of possibilities depending on where and how many bubbles you saw.

Any update as to what was wrong with your valve? I have the exact same problem with a Rhino loader on my kubota m6040. Can anyone else think of what the problem maybe?

Man...this is an old post! I was really surprised when I saw it come back up.

Sorry but I probably won't be much help. After this post I found a new valve on e-bay. It was the complete hydraulic kit to add a 16LA loader to a Class III Boomer. It had the turtle/rabbit push button joystick, all the hard lines, valve, quick couplers, brackets, etc. When I saw it the bid was $99.00, so I bid 102.51 thinking I'll never win this thing. Well the next day I get an e-mail saying I won. I did the PayPal transaction and 2 days later it shows up at my door. Everything was brand new still in the original New Holland packaging. So I just swapped out the valve assembly and everything has worked great since then.

Sorry, I know this is not what you wanted to hear.

I just snuck in while everyone was talking...My 16La loader valve wont lift properly and I can hear the fuild leaking by...to get the lift down I have to go into float and it slams down . I took it apart twice and everything seems ok...springs in good shape..o rings ok

Talked to the dealer and he thinks the valve has an internal problem, maybe cracked . I think this would be unusual but not sure...any suggestions

If you take all the components out of the valve body and nothing is damaged, then you can only assume that the valve body is damaged/cracked. However, there is a checkvalve that keeps the loader from moving as you transition from lifting to lowering the arms. If that checkvalve is sticking, you should hear the engine loading and the hydraulics go to relief bypass when you move the joystick. Is that happening?

Also, you could swap the lift and curl functions at the quick connects to make sure the problem goes from one to the other and it is the valve for sure.

I think there is a good chance your valve body is cracked and the pressure can never go high enough to lift the checkvalve until you go to float. That's just a guess based on how the Repair Manual shows this valve operates.

If one of these valves has a problem similar to the OP's and the load checks prove to be OK, there isn't much anyone is going to do the fix them. The OP was lucky to stumble onto a cheap new valve. It saved him from buying an expensive new valve.

I also stumbled upon one of these valve kits on ebay, I didn't get it quite that cheap, but if someone out there needs it I would sell it at a good price. I think I may also have just the valve portion of a kit sitting around.
