You'll be a lot better off contacting the implement manufacturer with these questions.
However, I'd make a gasket before using RTV (which is good stuff but it's a bit of a pain to remove if you pull the gearbox off again).
As far as bolt torque...well, good qestion for the manufacturer. Otherwise, look up the torque for the thread size/pitch and grade of bolt and use standard torque values.
