Hello forum members, I have a Ford 1700 with a AG 720 loader. The tractor has been sitting for 12 years or so and I'm slowly replacing things that are worn. I want to rebuild the 4 cylinders on the loader but have no Idea where I can find the parts. The bucket rod diameter is 1" and the lift rod diameter is 1 1/4". Any help will be appreciated. Already looked at Tractor Supply, no go. Thanks in advance!

Phil, I do not know anything about that manufacturer, but hydraulic cylinder seals can be matched up through a good hydraulic shop once the cylinders are disassembled.
If you need help on disassembling the cylinder or need help identifying the cylinder packing, take some pictures and post.

I'm an eternal fan of patronizing your local hydraulic shop for a couple of reasons.
- They have the right LARGE tools to disassemble and reassemble most any cylinder
- They have the expertise and tools to properly correct any little cylinder problems that might not be discovered until disassembly like scored or bent rods
- They get dribbles of hydraulic oil all over THEIR shop instead of mine
- They know how to reassemble without tearing the brand new seals like some of us noobs might
- They typically have a test bench where they can function/pressure test your rebuilt cylinder before they return it to you
- They will typically guarantee their work to function and be leak-free
- They can often source rebuild parts (aftermarket) for way less than OEM

And I find that the cost is not very much more than attempting to do it myself. And they're faster than me, even if it's a busy shop.

*** I do NOT have a controlling interest in nor own stock in any hydraulic repair shops ***

Have you tried Reliable Aftermarket Parts?

2X on going to a good shop. Mine has been in business 35 years. Make friends with the guys in the shop who actually do the work. I get what I need, while I am doing something else.

The guy in the hydraulic repair shop, puts his pants on, the same way as everyone else.

I work part time, in a shop that repairs pneumatic tools.

We also, among other things, repair hydraulic cylinders, and jacks.

Most of it's not rocket science.

Most of the time, they don't require much thinking, special skills, parts, or tools.

I am sure, there are You-tube video's, that show the entire process.

I may also have sent them out to be repaired in the past. But, I never would now.

I ended up taking the cylinders to a local shop. Waiting for them to be finished.
