Long video, about 25 minutes total.

Even knowing, now, what was coming, the initial wave of water had me thinking "Gee, that doesn't look too bad".

The mind (at least mine) doesn't process the scale of this well.

Incredibly disciplined and stoical people in the background. Didn't expect fire on that scale.

Wow, that's hard to comprehend. The water seemed to move with a steady pace, never that "crash" of a wave you'd see right on the beach.

Hollywood depictions are literal walls of water, 40' high.

Actual video like this shows how deceptively small the returning water can start out as. A long video like this makes it easy to see how people get caught, esp. in areas w/o tsunami warning systems in place.

Holy.... ___

What a terrifying video. It would be hard not to stand there during that event and not think the world had just ended.

Followed by the horrific fires! My god.

Then what? How do you even begin to cope and clean that up.

Wow.

Not a term I use often, or lightly, but Biblical comes to mind.
