Reciprocating saw garlic peeler experiments

Had a bit of fun with this. Got the idea from seeing videos of the garlic being shaken by hand while in a glass jar.

Wait a minute!!!! Are you suggesting that there has to be a purpose here? It looks like such fun, who could stop at just one bulb/clove?? I think it's kinda like a FEL....you "get by" until you have one, then can't stop finding new uses for it!!!

Out here I see large jars or bags of peeled garlic in the grocery stores, usually from China. Always wondered how they peeled it on such a massive scale. I can just picture dimly lit rooms and rows of children squatting on the floor with their peanut butter jars and reciprocating saws...

Had to Google Ronco... maybe I should send the video off to them BTW made a big batch of garlic mashed potatoes tonight - GOOD!

I will try out a similar contraption next summer, when my garlic gets harvested.

Guess if you have a big load of garlic you might even try it with a larger container. The main container shown in the video takes a whole head of garlic easily but with the power available in the saw might be able to go bigger without a problem.
