I have a Craftsman saw that I bought a few years ago. I hate it. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif But cannot break it. So its still in my tool chest. My son has a Porter Cable Tiger. He uses it in his construction business. He likes it better than his Dewalt that was stolen from a job site.
I would like either one. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Anyone know how to kill the Craftsman. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I have the Milwaukee Super Sawsall and use it a lot. I was using it to cut some bushes out of the ground for my nephew and he mantioned that he had a gas range that the trash guys wouldn't take because it was too big. Changed blades and about 30 minutes later it would fit into two trashcans!

These tools are great and can cut most everything with the correct blade.

I'd stick with the Milwaukee, or PC.

Sprinkle some sheetrock dust in the motor housing... If anything will do it, that's it. I like the Milwaukees the best but own two Dewalts, also good...

/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gifOne thing I do with any saw, and most other tools, is to try to thoroughly blow out any dust and debris with the air-compressor when I finish, and on bigger jobs, I may do it a few times in between start and finish. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

You could "accidentally" cut the cord..."look honey, it's broken so I need to get a new saw" /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif LOL

Take it to Goodwill, then claim it didn't work. Buy a new one. We do put up with some old tools that are hard to 'shake' or get rid of. Guess that's why I have more than one of several of them.
My Milw. does fine, and have no wish for another. The quick-change for the blade was a bonus when I bought it, but what a great bonus it was.
