I will be using a LS MT347 tractor. It has 47HP. I would like a 3pt rear blower, but my neck and back won't allow that. An LS brand blower is about $10,000 is there any other less expensive ways to get a viable front blower? I will be working on mostly flat ground.
Erskine still manufactures their rear to front PTO system with their 2 stage snowblower.
As you would be using the 540 rpm of the rear power take off you would only want
the 5 foot wide model with your mules horsepower.
The Erskine rear to front PTO system has mounting plates that are bolted to the front
of the engine cradle and it allows you to use the rear remote hydraulic system of your
tractor to quickly attach the snow blower to the mounting frame with the mounting
frame pins that insert into the snow blower frame and then you install the latch pins
to hold it in place.
The PTO shaft is held in place in the snow blower mounting framer and slips into the
snow blowers PTO stub.
The bolt holes for the brush guard would be where the upper mounting frame is attached
and where steel plates for it are mounted.
As your tractor has 37 horsepower at the power take off of your tractor you want the
5 foot model of their snow blower.
The underframe mount for this attachment extends or retracts to meet the size/length
of the tractors rear hitch to which it attaches.
