Recommendations on HVAC for new construction

I put a Geothermo unit in my last house in 1979. Back then it was called water to air heat pump. I loved it! I sold that house in 1999 and it still worked great.
I have a Rudd High Efficency Air to Air now and I can't stand it. When temp gets below 40* it runs almost full time and the heat strips kick in and out.
I just bought a 3 ton Geo for the doublewide I live in now. Just the 3 ton unit lists for around $3000. It is an FHP (Florida Heat Pump) unit. Has the Cupronickle coil that holds up with hard water.
I washed down a shallow well for it. The well is down 30' and the water table is 2' now and we are in drought conditions. My water temp is around 65* so it is like heating or cooling at 65* year round. The unit never has to work very hard at all.
I live on 2 acres so I can either water my yard or discharge into a ditch depending on rainfall.
My last unit had in the instructions to de-scale the coil just turn off the water to it and run it and let the high pressure controls kick out. This cooked the scale loose inside the coil.

I had the flowing bid for a 1500sqft place we were going to build

single air-to-air heat pump (3 ton) with propane backup, humidifyer, dampered dual zone

With only a few weeks a year with lows well below freezeing air-to-air seemed to be the most cost effective option.

bid price was about $9K
