I can't mount mine on the back of the seat. There's no room. With the seat adjusted back all the way, it will sometimes rub the angled front of the engine compartment cover when the tractor is articulated and oscillated...

Do you cut that lawn with your 422, and how many acres do you cut. Lawn looks nice, is that a lake behind your house.

Yes, my PT-422 is my only mower. It replaced my water cooled Honda 3813 which never cut level in ten years. The PT 48 inch mower was a great improvement. I have two acres on a lake with 165 feet of beach. The lake is seven miles long and one mile wide. It is great living here in the summer and great ice fishing in the winter. I can watch the fishermen with binoculars to see when the fish are biting. I retired two years ago and thought about moving till we realized it is pretty good right here. We do head south for a month or two of golf during the winter. Only so much ice fishing you can do before you get cold.

According to the parts manual the company does offer a hydraulic lift cylinder, not needed, and a angle hydraulic cylinder. I emailed the company about the cost of replacement brushes and they responded promptly. The answer was $140 for poly and wire. I will send them an email today to check the price of a cylinder.

The cylinder connections are in place so it would be easy if the price is right. The manual angle is very easy. Pull one pin and push.

If the manual angle is that easy, I wouldn't worry about it; however if you make note of the size of the connection and the shortest and longest you need to be, you might stumble across a great bargain.

As far as the reverse, when I installed my reversing valve, I used manual spools so I ussually don't give the power rake near full pressure in reverse.

I like the Red Green reference...so how many rolls of duct tape did you use in the project?

I also have an angle broom that does a great job of removing up to 3 inches of snow in the winter...you'll get good use out of it.

Looks like your sweeper does a great job with the snow. The company that makes the sweeper wants $300 for the angle cylinder. I found one that will work at Hydraulic's parts surplus center for $82. My intention was to keep the cost under $500. I am still debating adding the hydraulic angle.

I did use duct tape to make a motor bolt pattern to drill mounting holes.

How far down do you wear your brush before you replace it?

Bobcat recommends replacing the bristles when they're worn down to 4 inches length...have used mine 3 years now and they've got a ways to go...
