I took these pics this morning. They say a nasty weather front is once again approaching. The mess from all the downed trees is even cleaned up yet. If it's true, "Red Sky in the morning, Sailors take warning," we have to be prepared to Batten Down The Hatches once again. These are untouched just resized...

John, I took one this morning. It is no where as red as yours, but pretty amazing for Apex, NC. This only lasted for about 10 minutes, then we had a lot of clouds and rain move into the area.

Hey Bob tell John to look again at your NC sky.

I know it's not nice to fool with Mother Nature....but I got bored with TV.

Please forgive.

Gotorocks,

Those are actual shots with no enhancements. You got purple hues in yours. All I had was a UV haze filter on my Pentax digital SLR. Those really were the deep colors as uploaded. Watch the news tomorrow and you'll see what happens next to Western NY. Not a very nice year so far...Here's a few of last weeks storm. Let me see you paste snow and fallen trees on years with a photo aid.... No need to exagerate here...

Bob, are you sure that isn't from the plant that burned a couple weeks ago firing off again. It 90 miles form my house and some of the neighbors swear they could tell it from smelling a chemical smell.LOL, later, Nat

Johnk I know here in the south we have our problems, just like the chemical warehouse fire in Apex, but I still don't understand how people can live in the frozen north. I saw some of Egon's pics on CBN and he was outside in shirt sleeves and the snow was 3or 4 ft deep around him, just a path to his shop. I always though ya'll did something bad and that was the pennance to live where it got so cold, LOL, what gives? Later, Nat

That heavy snow was devastating on those trees still carrying their leaves huh!!! Sorry to hear you guys are having bad weather. I don't wish that on anyone. But history tells me when New York starts early with heavy snow, we here in Missouri have a light winter. We'll see how it plays out this year. Hang in there!!! :)
