Tell me more about the press brake set, i need something like that too when i swapped the leaking high pressure (700 bar) system with 80mm piston, for a low pressure 250 bar system (standard components, much cheaper) and a 125mm double acting dump cylinder of a wheel loader...
Hi
I'm not sure what information you want on the press brake set? The top die is made of 3/4 in. Thick steel and I machined a 45 degree angle on one edge the base plate is 3/4 also. The bottom die is made from 1/1/2 x 2 stock and machined a 45 degree grove in it. The side guide bars are made from 7/8 drill rod and I drilled and bored some round stock with about .005 clearance for the guides for the top die.
Picked up springs from the hardware store and made some derlin bushings to take up the space between the guide bar and springs. After finishing it I bent some 3/16 in plate, no problem so I tried a piece of. 2 in wide by 1/4 in thick steel and it bent it no problem. It made very nice 90 degree bends.
The bushing driver set goes from 3/8 in to 2 /1/2 in one eighth in increments. I made the storage shelf from plywood and can be removed from the press if the space is needed.
