I still don't see why it is the shippers fault or the credit card company or ebay.
Sounds like insurance was offered since the cost was known, but declined by the purchaser. So the shipper should lose because a purchaser did NOT want to buy insurance? That ain't right as they say.....
You would think that's the way it works, but it's not. If you can prove the damage was done to your package or that it was not delivered then PayPay (owned by Ebay) will refund your money (as a buyer).
As the seller, if you didn't have insurance, then you are SOL. You loose the item and your money.
Ebay is very "buyer" oriented. Your best protection as a seller is to insure everything and require a signature on every package. I also require an adult signature on most items.
