REFILLING COOLANT

I want to change the antifreeze in my DX 40. I put a Curtis cab with a heater on it. The heater is higher than the radiator. The question is am I going to have trouble with air in the system if the heater core is drained?

I'm thinking about clamping the line off going to the heater core and leaving that little bit of antifreeze in and just refilling the rest of the system with new antifreeze. Would I be smart to do it that way or am I worrying about a non issue, or is there a better way?:confused3:

IMO its a non issue. Once you drain and refill, start the tractor and turn the heater on full blast. When the T-stat opens the water pump should force coolant through the heater core pushing any air pocket back to the radiator. Once the air is purged top off the radiator. I also think clamping the heater hose closed could weaken the hose due to damage that may be done to the reinforcement cord inside the heater hose.
