I've seen the threads on here before about refilling those 14 oz propane bottles from 20# tanks and the method involving pullling the schraeder valve out some during the process until liquid propane comes out.

Has anyone ever gotten injured during this procedure or had their valve fail to allow the propane out and had a tank explode or deform?

I bought one of the $20 adapters from NorthernTool.com and used it probably 40-50 times from a regular 20# cylinder with no problems. Just follow the directions.

The only thing is that after about 2 refills on the small coleman cylinders the valve will start to leak if you plan on storing it , it will leak out so you have to go ahead and screw it on the stove or whatever so you can turn it off by the valve.

It was well worth the money for refills.
