I had a similar issue. It was a drain for the evap coil. On my unit, the freezer coil is behind a false panel at the rear of the freezer. During defrost the ice on the coil is melted, and it runs off the coil to a drain at the bottom of the coil "area". This drain was blocked, so each defrost would result in water accumulating at the bottom of the freexer.
