Kubota B3350SU
My Kubota B3350SU seems to need to run this regeneration cycle for an extended length of time after only a short amount of use. Last time the cycle ran for more than 45 minutes after only about 14 hours of regular use. Thanks for any insight.

45 mins sounds long. Are dash lights flashing or on steady? My L3301 takes around 10 mins to do regen. And requires that throttle be put around PTO speed. Mine has probably done 6 regens in 97 Hours.

Same. 10 minutes of regen every dozen or 2 hours on my L4060. Often kicks when I'm mowing & I dont even notice it.

Run your RPM's around 1800 to 2000 and the regen cycle will be farther apart. My L 3301 did the first one at 14 hrs and then around 17 hours after that. I have 600 hrs on mine and it does the regen between 20 and 30 hours. The harder you run the engine the farther apart they will be

14-15 hours is about right but 45 minutes is much too long. Should take 15-20 minutes.

As previously mentioned keep engine speed above 1,800 RPM, more in cold weather.

Wow, thanks for all the input! My first experience with this site and I'm loving it. So now the truth comes out. I stopped the tractor without the regeneration finishing (I thought there was something wrong, it had been running so long). Now the engine light has come on and it is making a loud beep in warning. I would appreciate any thoughts.

Read the PM warning level 3 in the following LINK which is from your operators manual

Exhaust filters live on heat!!! The more idle or low load the more PM's. The length of time it takes to clean a dpf all depends on temps. Outside air, engine coolant, and inlet and outlet of the dpf. The harder you run it the cleaner it will be.

You need to read your manual carefully.

B3350's are notorious for needing a very long time to heat the DPF to regen. Mine takes forever and if its cold outside it never actually completes it.

Search the site, you will find a lot of discussion the B3350 and regen (you may not like what you find).

Welcome to the board!
