Insurance registering a tractor

Hi,
I am rather in amuddle about how i can get my tractor ready for road use at insurance but im not sure how,could someone help me.if it helps,it has been registered with the dvla long ago.

Well, here in Virginia I can use my tractor anywhere, provided I have a slow moving vehicle reflector. For liability, if your tractor has lights, make sure they work and use them. As far as insurance, my insurance company offers a $1m liability policy that is recommended if I take the tractor off my owned property.
