Well, its a long story that finally built up to a head. But my wife and I are having issues and I figure I'd sell everything I owned before the "possible" divorce settlement happens. The only thing I hate worse then lawyers is getting shot. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Hmmm....work to fix something up, then sell it because the wife (soon to be ex) will want half. I have been through the divorce thing and learned that if something is worth more than its wholesale value, take it and the wholesale value will be alotted at the property settlement (for which you will owe the ex-spouse half).
My ex-wife cleaned out the house while I was at work. No bed, no furniture, no refrigerator, no washer, no dryer when I got home. We had just bought furniture 2 months before, now I was responsible for the bill, but only got half of wholesale value (which turned out to be half of the retail price). So my ex-wife got the furniture for half price.
Only sell it if you will need the money to pay off the rest of the property settlement.

I guess there are no winners in a divorce. I can only remember the article in the newspaper that said; "Ex wife gets ex husbands collection of Mustangs". Make a long story short, they got divorced and he had something like 8 Mustangs (60's vintage) that he restored over the years and the judge awarded them to her. He wound up dumping a few gallons of gas on the garage and torching the whole place. All the cars were lost as well as the structure. He goes to jail, the wife has no Mustangs. He said however he'd do it again if the same situation arose. Go figure.
