Relative value of each Deere Series

The tires were turf... they didn't know if they are were loaded...I don't want to get into a debate about tires, tire chains, R4s/R1s in snow, etc, but how do turf tires on a 4wd tractor do on snow and ice? My garden tractor with turfs and weights did not good on my sloped driveway until I got chains... And even with chains, I have to be careful... I'd be mighty embarrassed if a new 4wd tractor had to be towed up the driveway!

The turfs on my JD 870 4 wd did a good job on snow with no chains. I wasn't able to plow up the drive but never got it stuck in snow. With chains on it would have been that much better.

I think you'll find that any L&G tractor vs a MFWD (4wd) CUT is not a fair comparison. MFWD (and you absolutely want this for FEL work) will really put a smile on your face. Plus, all of the CUT's you're considering should have rear diff lock. That'll give you 3 driving wheels when engaged. So I wouldn't worry about that

One more thing to consider. I was thinking that for most of your uses a 755 might be adequate but it only has 15 PTO hp. For instance if you'll mow in thick, wet grass or might want to add a rotary cutter or tiller later I'd go with something with more HP. I never used the PTO's on my 755 as I used it for landscaping stuff (rake, BB, loader), but some folks find the 755's to be a little under-powered.
