How can I release the connected hydraulic lines once the system is charged. I cant pop the fitting to release pressure because the two are currently connected. It's a long story how I managed to get into this fix but I was attempting to check on the hydraulic system pressure and had a guage teed into the system instead of dead heading to a gauge.

Can you loosen up a fitting on the cylinder or anywhere to let the pressure out? Be careful so you dont get injected. Also be careful the fitting doesn't fly off and hit you.

Just wiggle the valve lever and that should release the pressure.

JJ has the safest / best answer. witht he engine/power source, run the spools back and forth to bleed the pressure off.

Thanks for the help thus far. Well, I have tried all the levers on what I believe is that same circuit I'm attempting to change including pto. I believe the back hoe and pto are handled by thie same circuit , fel and power steering must be on another. That backhoe is not on the tractor'

I even shielded my facE AND TIED a towel around guage fitting and removed it. Just a thin slight stream flowed out. I cant believe there could ever sstill be pressure on that system after all this. The undamaged connectors still refuse to budge

the spring ring on the irear remotes.
fluid levelsare fine.

thanks for any help in advance.

I've had 2 tractors that I had to cut the engine, then move the controlling lever back and forth to relieve the pressure to disconnect. It's gotten so that I shut the engine off out of habit anymore to disconnect or connect. If an implement needs to be stored with a cylinder extended, i block it so the block takes the pressure.
