remington 770

There are few reasonably built, inexpensive, new firearms that would warrant a look - Weatherby/Howa; Stevens/Savage are a couple. I would never buy a 710 nor 770. And for real value, old school, metal and wood, my personal preference would be anything made between 1940-60 by FN - JC Higgins, Husqvarna 640, or any other of the commercial model 98 variants. Even though our gun laws up here are lame, we are very lucky to have this resource for such needs: 95 | tradeexcanada

i passed on the 770. I already have a good 700 shooter and a savage 110 both in 30-06

will keep an eye out for a truck gun though.. just no affordable ones around..

Ever seen, shot, heard about Tikka rifles? Might want to look at those. I've heard very positive reviews on them and hardly any negative ones.
