Remote Control to Release Bucket

If you don't get off to latch your QA bucket, what do you have to remind you that you need to grease the latch pins?

And what about those of us with a grapple? Is there anyway to hook up those pesky hydraulic quick-connects without getting off the tractor?:D

Actually, I try to remember to unlatch the QA pins before getting onto the tractor. Then, I can drop the old attachment and pick up the new one while only having to get off the tractor once. Getting older as I am, I only remember to do this about half the time.:)

OK, now we are getting lazy. Pretty soon we will want remotes so we can run the tractor while sitting inside watching TV. I wish I had a remote control to load up my 3PH when I change from blade to rake! Now, that's a PIA!!! :D

I had the same thought! But I guess others had the same feeling when the first TV remotes, garage door openers, and power windows appeared, so who knows, it could be the next step forward by mankind.

I try to plan ahead and unlatch when I am changing attachments but like Jim I frequently remember after I get up on the tractor. With my bad knees it is painful getting up.

I trying to figure out how to get an extension to the current step to add a step.

Yes, they do make remote operated QD's. I will look and see if I can find a web site them.

There was a post here on TBN a couple years ago about one that New Holland offered I think? I could not find it though...I think there may have been other links in the thread also?

Hope you have better luck than me.

This the way I remember how the QD attachment worked. The attachment had a block of steel with several pin holes, and the male connectors for the hydraulics. When the operator went to hook up, he guided the boom part which had guide pins in it for proper alignment. The pins went in first, and then the hydraulics were locked in. He could change out an attachment in a few minutes, with little loss of fluid. The pins locked the two parts together.

What about just leaving the grapple on the loader arms?
Would that be a lot easier?
