I have a grease fitting on my mower that is buried way too deep. I found it only after searching several times because it's so well hidden. There is a hole to access the fitting, but I can only touch it with my finger; can't see the fitting much less grease it. I ended up taking some shields off and was able to get it greased. Honestly, the zerk looks new which isn't good on a 10 year old machine. I think the solution is to provide a remote zerk, but the line will need to be flexible. Wondering if anybody can make some suggestions as to the best way to accomplish this?

if it is on a fixed, non moving part, you may have an option , if it is one of the big pipe plug sized zerks. if so. thread a grease gun hose in there, nad then run it to an easy place, then couple that other hose end to a zerk.. attach and grease.

The fitting is the 1/4" size and I believe the grease gun hoses are 1/8" mpt. They make adapters that would work on the bearing side, but I don't know of a bulkhead fitting for the zerk end.

Next thought would be a little solder magic with some brake line and some union fittings

Could find a soft brass or cast iron plug or reducer bushing, thread the hose to the inside and tap a next smaller plug for a zero, then add that to the reducer

Might not be an out of the box method, but stepping it thru a couple processes should work

Drill a zerk thru, slip fit a piece of brake line over hollowed out zerk, silver solder or braze. Drill sift plug, one side as slip for tube, sweat on, other side tap for zero

Or take reducer, solder in hollow zerk, other side is fem 1/8 pipe. Add hose, couple hose to another zerl

Could make one. A piece of aluminum or metal, 3-4" long, 3" wide, drill hole from each end, one hole in middle to meet
the holes from the ends, grease lines hooked to end holes for two zerks. Add more holes on top or side for more lines.
Brake lines would be good for a project like this. Swivel barrel nuts to thread into the block and the zerk hole, if thread size of zerk is the same.
Otherwise cut line and braze zerk on. Bend to fit bolting down as you go.
Standing in one spot greasing all you need to, Priceless.

If you are talking about this one, in that hole, I made an extension from a pipe removed from a lever gun, a 1/8 coupler and a 1/8 zerk. I will get a picture of it tomorrow.

some heavy equipment uses stuff like that.

on our pavement milling machines, there are air over grease tubes and remote lines running many places.

This is my extension, works great with the LockNLube coupler.
