Ok,

I recently installed remote hydraulics on my TC29D, and thought I would post some pictures for those of you contemplating the same. It turned out to be a very simple process, requiring about three hours total. I decided to purchase the "factory" kits from NH, as I wanted the controls mounted in the fenders. It turned out that these kits are really well engineered. Everything fit great. The steel hydraulic lines leading to the rear are routed cleanly, and the quick connects are mounted solidly. Warning, the photos are about 150K each. This first photo shows all of the parts from kit #1. Note the special machined spacer to the right of the valve.

This picture is Kit #2. Notice there is no spacer. This valve just stacks onto the first one.

This shows the "stock" cover removed. The four original threaded studs have been removed and replaces with four much longer studs included in kit #2.

This photo shows the spacer, and then the two valves installed onto the threaded studs. The "stock" cover will be placed back on the threaded studs, completing the assembly. Note that the linkage to activate the valves has not yet been installed.

Great photos. If you don't mind me asking, approximately what did you have to give for the NH kits?

Thanks for sharing these pictures.

Thanks for the pictures. Those were excellent. Did the kits come with good instructions?

John, very nice post. The OEM gives a nice clean installation. In fact, considering where you have to tap into the hydraulic system and the location of the levers on the premade fender slots I can see why you went for the NH kit. In your research did you find a non-NH way to do this and what was the cost difference ?
