The last one I installed was on my 2000 Tundra. They are pretty straight forward. I would do another one again. The only issue I ran into on an aftermarket one is how it detects your engine is running. I had to set the unit to voltage sense (it would detect when the engine was running by seeing an increase in voltage when the alternator started working). It didn't seam very reliable so I switched to timed mode (it would crank the starter for a predetermined amount of time). Back then you had to identify ever wire, now they may be plug and play. I got a factory remote starter on my new Rav4.
