Remounting Rear Wheel

   / Remounting Rear Wheel #11
I have take a couple of left over 4" x 4" post sections in the 12" range and screwed them together to make a base. If you have 4 such pieces you get a 12" x 8" base that is plenty of secure to rest your bottle jack on or even as a base for jack stands. Use another layer if you still need extra height.

Lifted my 8000lb truck no problem.

Wood blocks (4X4 & 6X6) are used all the time in the fire-rescue business for lifting/bracing for an extrication.

Also used underneath some very heavy boat keels (8X8) to support them when out of the water.

Lawmans got it right, if you don't have a big enough block to be stable, screw it together.
